Heron did keep his oath and returned Ilgoth to this world. Warlord Bane did make peace with Abakhan and McKrye did put his ax down over the negotiations but he had a change of heart as did Jarrod of Folkestone...

The weekend went wonderfully. On sat. The realms invaded the caverns of the Death Cultists. They had made up their minds that they would take no prisoners and so they slaughtered women and children alike, purging the land of the abominable Death Cultists. Inside they also found Kalin the Conqueror attempting to release Dionin from his temple. The realms attempted to call on Morgan to do as he had done once before and open a gate that would banish the God of Death to some other place. Though it weakened him, Dionin resisted and thwarted the realms in this endeavor. However, they realms had one more trick up their sleeve. Angus called on the spirit of Sir Shane who came and did battle with Dionin. As the two did battle, the realms raced in and out of the temple to recover the bodies and souls of friends collected by the God. Though physically well matched, Dionin held magic power over Shane. Shane called to his squire bane for his sword and she tossed him the Sword of Kings. Shane plunged the sword into Dionin's torso and he fell to the ground gasping for life. Shane then lifted up and ran off with the body. The day ended when the realms set off an explosion that would collapse the caverns that the cultist live in and destroy them forever. Racing for the daylight they escaped leaving behind mere rubble as the only evidence that anything occurred at all.

That evening, as the realms passed through the wastes, they observerd a ritual taking place. Heron stood behind an altar with five monks chanting before it. On top of the altar lay a cadaver. Upon realizing that Heron was attempting to return Illgoth the Twice dead back to the world of the living, the realms sought to interrupt the ceremony by killing the monks. However, the sacrifice of the monks was needed to complete the ritual and all the realms did was hasten Illgoth's return. He rose from the altar with blood pouring from his mouth and spoke with Heron. Soon the other two liches appeared. Abakhan managed to escape the destruction of the caverns (did Bane warn him? I don't know), and Randal appeared. The three liches acknowledged one another and retreated to seperate camps to plot their success. Each lich had a gate with 5 locks on it. Only so many keys existed to open these locks. The first lich to open his locks won the right to choose of the three rewards: Ascenion, Life, or Death! The second Lich to open his locks won the right to choose from the remaining two options. The realms was divided in many ways over the course of the night. With many changes taking place. It seemed that Abakhan would lose as the majority of people chose to support Illgoth, and force Randal into a secure second place. Most of the realms was in agreement that they feared the possibility of Randal as a god. However, a last minute change of heart within Lord Jarrod, brought on by Bane, cause them to throw their effort into supporting Randal. Randal was awared first choice. Then it was easy to open another door, but who's? Again Bane prevailed upon jarrod and McKrye and succeeded in having them open Abakhan's door, gaining him a return to life as a human being once again. Illgoth died that night fulfilling the phrophesy that he would be known as Illgoth the thrice dead.

The following morning as the realms made their way home throught the wastes, they encountered a loosely organized band of Trolls, Imps, and goblins hell bent on robbing them and each other of everything they could get their hands on. There was a lot of valuable items and coin changing hands all day. There was even a small coffer belonging to the Bank of the Southern Wastes that was found that day. The realms learned of a new upstart who calls himself the Overlord of the Southern Wastes. Apparently he has userpted some of the local goblin tribes from the Goblin King and thus far had used them to collect capital goods and coin. What is this man up to?
